Tom Wheeler

Thomas E. "Tom" Wheeler served as Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from 2103 through January 2017.  Prior to his FCC service, Wheeler had extensive experience in business and regulatory issues.  He served as managing director of Core Capital Partners, CEO of CTIA, and President of the National Cable Television Association. He also co-founded SmartBrief, an online targeted news service. He was induced into the Wireless Hall of Fame in 2003, and the Cable Television Hall of Fame in 2009.
